“Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of sufferings are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the work.” 1 Peter 5:8-9
REFUSE to be an easy target for Satan. Be sober-minded, be watchful – that does not mean to worry but rather be aware; don’t look like lunch.
RESIST Satan. Even your best efforts to not be an easy target may not stop Satan’s attempt to devour you – so be ready to resist – don’t be a willing target – put up a fierce fight standing firm in your faith. God often allows trials in our lives to show us our faith.
REHEARSE the truth you know and believe which strengthens your faith.
REMEMBER you are not alone – Solomon says there is nothing new under the sun. Others have experienced – even are experiencing – the same kind of trials you are experiencing. “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man” 1 Corinthians 10:13. Pray for others that are suffering.
1. REFUSE to be an easy target
2. RESIST the Devil, firm in your faith
3. REHEARSE the Truth
4. REMEMBER others have the same kinds of trials, you are not alone
