I wish I could give credit for the following thought but I came across it in some of my handwritten notes without any indication as to who said it. But I appreciate the thought today as a wonderful reminder of its simple truth.
As followers of Jesus Christ, God is in the process of conforming each of us to the image of His Son. The more conformed I am to the Son in this life, the less of a shock heaven will be. The less conformed I am to the Son in this life, the greater the shock of heaven will be.
Walk today in the truth that God is transforming you…
Pray that at the end of the day you will be more like Jesus than when you woke up this morning.
Rejoice to know, He is actively at work in your life today even if you cannot see it.
Delight in knowing that one day, the transforming work of God in your life will be complete and you will be sitting at His feet forever.
“And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another.” 2 Cor. 3:18
“For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.” Romans 8:29
Blessings,
Diane
